A very scenic village with its ruined château perched on a rock outcrop above. In addition to the château visit there’s a superb walking trail (around 90 minutes) in the lovely countryside.

Observatoire Astronomique GAP 47
Open Fridays from 21h. Just at the top of the hill there’s an observatory. So, if you want to stare into space through a telescope or enjoy an interactive sky dome presentation it couldn’t be closer. Booking required in the summer high season.
Scenic Flight from Aérodrome de Fumel – Montayral

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
Saint-Cirq Lapopie, labelled one of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France", voted #1 Favourite Village of the French, is set on a 100 meters cliff towering over the River Lot. The far side a Cahors well worth the 1hr 20m drive. The best way to visit in our opinion, is the river walk from Bouziès. Book a restaurant in Saint-Cirq Lapopie for lunch before returning by the same route. See other walks here.

There are so many beautiful hilltop villages to explore within a half an hour drive from here. The article above provides all the inspiration you should need. We recommend lunch in Penne-d'Agenais at the Café des Arts combined with a walk around the village, the Sanctuaire Notre-Dâme de Peyragude, and the view point.

Grotte de Pech Merle
A must-see in the Lot, the Grotte du Pech Merle: witness to the artistic soul of our ancestors over 25,000 years ago. A 1hr, 1km tour through seven caverns. Beware, according the reviews most guides only speak French and its too dark to read the tour guide.
