Jasmin Cottage is a beautiful
Nigel and Hilary are brilliant hosts. They have thought of everything a visitor might need. Jasmin Cottage is a beautiful, well equipped, spacious gite in a lovely location. Garden and pool a real bonus. They have made a great guide to local walks. The house is well placed for visiting local vineyards and close to amenities while still in a rural setting. It was a good base for visiting the area. We visited Chateau Bonaguil, Chateau Biron Chatueau and Gavaudun as well as St Cirq Lapopie all within easy driving distance and well worth it. Highly recommended.
A truly wonderful stay
We had a truly wonderful stay at Jasmine Cottage in Montayral, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Nigel and Hilary are exceptional hosts – welcoming, thoughtful, and available if needed, while also giving complete privacy. The cottage itself is immaculately furnished and beautifully maintained, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It feels like a home rather than a holiday rental – well equipped, spotless, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. The location is perfect for exploring the rich history and stunning countryside of the Lot-et-Garonne. From hilltop villages and vineyards to castles and bastides, there is so much to see nearby, yet the cottage remains peaceful and restful at the end of each day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to return. Jasmine Cottage is an absolute gem, made even better by Nigel and Hilary’s kindness and hospitality. Highly recommended.
Un très agréable séjour
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Hilary et Nigel. Toutes les conditions nous ont permis de nous reposer : * Endroit calme * Logement propre et entièrement équipé * Belle piscine * Climatisation dans la chambre qui a permis de passer la canicule de manière agréable * De nombreux conseils sur les visites et marchés gourmands Nigel et hilary ont le soucis de vouloir nous faire passer un agréable séjour chez eux. Nous recommandons cet endroit pour se reposer.
Des hôtes très accueillants
Hilary et Nigel (ainsi que Jack et Smudge! 😊) sont des hôtes très accueillants. Le logement, situé dans un joli parc avec belle piscine, est très propre et très très bien équipé. Hilary et Nigel ont réalisé un guide très pratique sur les activités possibles environnantes. C'est très appréciable de pouvoir partir en randonnée dès le logement. Venez sans hésitation!!

Great stay, lovely pool and hosts!
A lovely stay
We had a lovely stay in Jasmin Cottage in June. The weather and the countryside were glorious. We got out and about visiting beautiful chateaux and local markets. There is so much to explore in this quite unspoiled part of France.
Fantastic find.
We spent a wonderful week here in spring, when it was warm enough to use the pool, eat outside and enjoy the sunset views. We walked for miles directly from the gite, in peace and quiet with stunning scenery. Plenty to do and visit…we went to a few local markets and brocants.. as well as Cahors, Saint-Cirq Lapopie and Penne D’agenais. Great hosts who know the area well and are full of useful suggestions. We’ll be back !!

If I could give 6 stars I would! What a fantastic place and what great hosts! Hilary and Nigel are so kind, you immediately feel at home in the cottage (which is incredibly fully furnished, never experienced before). They are ready for tips and suggestions on what to do in this beautiful area but also for a chat. We felt great and I would recommend anyone who wants to explore the beautiful region to book here. Puppy Smudge and old friend Jack complete the stay😍. We hope to come back again because after a week we don't feel like we've done everything there is to do. There are so many walks and villages we haven't done/seen and this place is a great base. Highly recommended! Ps: are you from the Netherlands? Bring stroopwafels! Hilary will be very happy and you will get tomatoes, basil and plums from her own garden. Fantastic!
