Chez Justine - Mauroux

Casual restaurant and bar in the village square. Relaxed seating inside and outside. Typically offers a limited menu 3 -4 options. Vegetarians will probably be catered for “on-the-fly” rather than a set veggie menu option.

Le Clover Steakhouse Montayral

American styled steakhouse with Guiness. In addition to steaks, the menu includes BBQ ribs, burgers, and salads. Seldom busy, but hopefully the new owner (since June 2025) will be more successful.

Les Pizzas du Village

Mobile pizza van visits Mauroux every Thursday. Order and enjoy a glass of wine at Chez Justine while your pizza is cooked then take home to enjoy.

Restaurant Italien Pizzeria La Dolce Vita

Excellent pizzas either eat in or take away.

Le BistrotChic

Despite its unglamorous location in front of the train station this restaurant has a local reputation for fine dining.

Le Caillau

A long-standing favourite restaurant set in the beautiful courtyard of a working vineyard. Booking required. British owned so it attracts a lot of expats.

Au P'tit Moissac

This is special! It's like stepping back in time, to a farmhouse kitchen. The speciality is cooking over an open fire. No menu – you eat what inspires the chef today. Wine included. Booking is normally required around two weeks in advance.

Auberge Du Brelan

Just south of Tournon d’Agenais, the Auberge Du Brelan offers fine dining all year round. Established in 1969 it is now managed by the founder’s grandson. Refined, seasonally inspired gastronomy.

Restaurant La Guinguette – Grézels

On a grassy bank next to the River Lot just south of Puy-l'Évêque, La Guinguette has 70 covers indoors and a large covered terrace with 80 covers. Well worth the 20 minutes’ drive from here.

Le Couvent de Belaye

Bélaye is a medieval village famous for its panoramic views over the Lot valley. Le Couvent de Bélaye describes itself as a pasta bar, restaurant & wine cellar. Check out their events page for live music and other entertainments during the summer. Well worth the scenic 30 minute drive.

La Maison de Framboise – Tournon

A small, homely restaurant in the old bastide centre of Tournon d’Agenais. Beautifully home cooked food served with a smile.

Restaurant Le Beffroi – Tournon

The beautiful pedestrian square in the old quarter of Tournon d’Agenais is a great place for lunch or an early dinner. We ate here one evening in May before a blues concert in Tournon. It was sympa!
