Our most-local vineyard. Owned and operated by a charming Belgian family for the past twenty years. Visit by appointment for a private tasting. As a Cahors region vigneron independent the main grape variety is Malbec. They produce a lovely rose and a variety of reds ranging in complexity.

Château Nozières – Vire-sur-Lot

Ask any of the locals which rosé they prefer and it’s likely to be Nozières. A family estate offering “artisanal wines” grown on the beautiful sunny terraces of Vire-sur-Lot. Open every day from Monday to Saturday (closed at lunchtime.) Open Sunday on appointment.

Château Lamartine - Soturac

One of the founding vineyards of the Cahors appellation, Château Lamartine traces its family history through four generations since 1883. A large vineyard offering a wide selection of wines, tastings are open from May to September. Consult the opening times here.

If you visit any of the local markets you’re quite likely to meet Mathieu selling his wine at very reasonable prices. We love it. Tastings can also be arranged chez lui.
